reveals the drug use in our country. It is a real tragic situation. In this case it is clear that through the generosity of the Rappahannock County Sheriffs Department and by agreement of the magistrate, Ms. Jackson was released to go to Bethany House (a drug treatment center) in Roanoke.
“That is a rigorous, difficult program. I don’t say that as a criticism; it is probably what is needed. Even though the court is sympathetic that she wants to see her children, she did not comply with the conditions of her bond.”
Ms. Jackson’s bond was reduced to $1,250 per charge, to be paid in cash or corporate surety. If the bond is paid, her mother will have to cosign. Other conditions of the bond are that she must live with her mother, maintain a job, and attend Narcotics Anonymous meetings.
