in my opinion are once again a classic case of overkill - unnecessary, destructive and needlessly expensive.
Note how old 211 rolls gently with the natural terrain and compare it with the giant leveling of the new road as it plows on toward Sperryville with its huge cuts and fills. It bears virtually no resemblance fo, the old road which gives you a feel for Rappahannock’s rolling hills.
Surely “the improvements” to both 622 and U.S. 211 could have been made more sensitive to their natural rural environment.
Both primary and secondary road improvement plans are public information and are approved via annual public hearings. Do you know if your road is next?
