7:30-9:30 p.m. — The Children’s Christmas Shop at Gumdrop Square at 17 Main St. (the former Fauquier Pharmacy) will be open. This year the shop will feature such special attractions as an elaborate model train, a recreation of a tum-of-thecentury streetfront offering a view to Christmas past and the shop itself, which is set up just for children to shop by themselves for friends and family.
All items are priced inexpensively and selected to appeal to children. Each gift is wrapped and labeled before the child leaves. At the center of it all will be Santa Claus ready to listen to every variety of Christmas wish.
7:30 p.m. — Entertainment at the John Marshall Building, horse-drawn carriage rides, the Piedmont Brass Quintet will perform at the post office.
8 p.m. — The Girl Scout Choir will perform at the Court House.
6:30-9 p.m. — Face painting, strolling musicians, Christmas greeters dressed in period costumes, a, food trolley and Capaccino cart at the post office. Many of the shops will have open house and offer refreshments.
