Branch Rd. in Vienna. Armstrong specializes in custom gift baskets with a flair for creative design and flexibility.

“We can offer wine gift baskets to meet our customer’s theme and budget. Being a small retailer we think our advantage is our willingness to do the unusual. We’ve had people bring in special keepsakes such as photos and then incorporate them into the baskets. We can put together baskets, wine boxes or ice buckets filled with wine.”

Vienna Vintner also keeps on display baskets already made for the customer who needs that last-minute gift. Armstrong said that two years ago Italian themed baskets were the largest seller but that in the last year the Virginia baskets had moved ahead as the most popular.

Armstrong also has on hand other Virginia items to supplement the baskets such as the Wolf Trap Picnic Cookbook — Dining al Fresco which is published by the Wolf Trap Associates. Additional items that could be added to a basket include wine glasses, wine openers, cork trays, and wine books.
