Many people in the county have been visited by ladybugs in their houses recently.
The ladybugs like to congregate on' ceilings, especially around the edges and comers. Their colors range from light green to orange.
There’s a new Japanese ladybug in town. According to Virginia Extension Agent Scott Cunningham, the ladybugs have been steadily moving north since their introduction to Georgia in 1977.
They were originally brought over to control pecan aphids. After their first year in Georgia, they disappeared for a year and were later found to be feasting on aphids in hardwood trees.
