It took over two years, but AJson Atkins finally found the right person to buy all 11 of his horses so they could stay together.
Mr. Atkins has been the proprietor of Rainbow Stables on Rt. 211 in Sperryville for 21 years. This weekend will be his last one giving the trail rides which he has loved for so long.
He’s 81 now, and wishes to slow down a little and just raise cattle. “I will buy in the spring and sell in the fall so I won’t have to deal with feeding animals in the winter,” he said.
