This year the season abounds with Christmas events that will please child and parent alike. The TimesDemocrat has compiled a list of coming attractions.
Dec. 1
7 p.m. —The Fauquier Hospital Lights for Life tree lighting ceremony takes place on Hospital Hill.
Dec. 2-3
7-9 p.m. — The Almond Tree Christian Book Store presents Men’s Night.
Dec 3 “Children’s Night in Old Town”
7 p.m. — Ceremonial procession beginning on Fifth Street led by Mayor J. Willard Line weaver and Town Manager John Anzivino.
As the procession winds through town, the lights in the shops will illuminate, marking the beginning of the Christmas in Old Town activities. Part of the night’s events will include lighting the two Christmas trees at the Court House and post office.
7:15 p.m. — Santa will arrive by carriage to be greeted by the Nutcrackers.
