Lenten services begin at the Trinity Episcopal Church on Wednesday Feb. 28th with Trinity as host. Music will be provided by Reynolds Baptist and Albert Verbeke as speaker on the topic of The Simons. On Wednesday, March 6 the Washington Baptist will host with Jennings Hobson as speaker on the topic of The Mary’s and music by the Methodist. Wednesday March 13th the speaker will be Phillip Bailey on the topic of Saint John with host Reynolds Baptist and music by St. Peter’s. Wednesday, March, 20th the Methodists will host with speaker Jon Heddleston on The Thieves with music by the Washington Baptist. Wednesday March 27th ST. Peters will be the host with merlin Shorb as speaker on The Centurion and music by Trinity Episcopal. There will be a pot-luck supper each night at 6:15 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
Mrs. Mary Updike continues a patient in Fauquier Hospital, Room 161 in Warrenton. She would enjoy hearing from her friends.
The community was sorry to hear of the death of “Doc” Lillard, a former resident of Washington.

Happy birthday to Mrs. Merle Scoggins who has her day on Friday, Feb. 23rd, to Vergil Atkins of Sperryville who has a birthday on Monday, Feb. 26 and to Keith Settle of Castleton who will celebrate his day on Wednesday Feb. 28.
