The Magic of Ballroom

The local Community Concert Association announces the fourth event in its 1995-96 series of live professional entertainment will be at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 20 at Culpeper County High School. “The Magic of Ballroom” includes a big band and The Fred Astaire Studio Dancers. Admission is by season subscription ticket only. The final date if for 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23 and features pianist-comedian, Dale Gonyea, who performs in the style of Victor Borge. This will be free for new subscribers to the association’s 1996-97 series of dance, classical and popular concerts. Advisory Committee To Meet

The Special Education Advisory Committee of Rappahannock County Public Schools will meet at 3:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 22 in Room 23 of Rappahannock County High School. The committee will see a video on “Negotiating Special Education Conflicts.” The meeting is open to the public.

Education Support Group To Meet

The February meeting of the First Thursday Education Support Group has been rescheduled/or 7 p.m. on Feb. 22 at the Rappahannock Extension Office, Washington Arts Building, Gay Street. The School Budget Process will be the focus of the meeting and speakers. Dr. John Tole, Chairman of the School Board, and Mr. Hubert Gilkey, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors, will give their perspectives on this year’s difficult budget sessions. All are welcome to attend, we especiallv need input from high school parents.

Country Kids Playgroup Meets

Country Kids Playgroup meets every Monday and Thursday from 10 to noon at the Jeffersonton Community Center in Jeffersonton now through May.

The non-profit playgroup is for parents and children ages infant to 4. Toys are supplied, activities and field trips ar planned. Minimal dues are charged to help cover cost of rent. Ballet Classes Available

Creative movement/Ballet classes for children pre-K-5 are being offered at the Washington Community Center on Thursday afternoon*. Cost is $30 for six classes. For more information call 987-3350.
