The local Habitat for Humanity group is looking for families to apply to be partners in the house cortstruc-t tion project. j
Eligible families must have an income of about $1.5,000 to $20,000 so they will be able to pay off the interest free mortgate on the house. They must be willing to put 500 hours of “sweat equity” into the project.
Robert Darby said there is a committee that will review applications. He said that last year there were two families applying — an Atkins family and a Bailey family — but their applications wer? lost in a paperwork shuffle. He said, “We owe them an appology,” and he hopes they will contact him so Habitat can consider them for this year’s project.
