work was stopped until the dust was tested and certified as non-asbestos. The term “abatement” is used when a toxic material is removed.
Industrial Training Company received $3040 from the school to monitor the asbestos abatement at the high school, an amount which was not included in the Hale and White contract. Ifesting the dust was an added expense.
The two 10,000 gallon gas tanks scheduled for delivery at the school board office was delayed until Aug. 18. This caused a temporary parking problem.
The radiator covers in the gym have not been replaced due to lack of availability, and will have to be custom made, but most other maintenance projects and repairs have been completed.
