its number one Christmas book for 1997. Mr. Bittinger believes his work on this project is his best An illustration from it will appear on the cover of a Lands’ End catalogue for children. Bittinger especially likes illustrating books because it allows his imagination free range and is challenging in many ways.
On a previous occasion at the library, Mr. Bittinger illustrated his portrait technique by painting a picture of Judge Douglas Ginsburg from scratch while a fascinated audience watched.
The illustrated talk on July 12 should be equally interesting. The public is welcome and refreshments will be served.
