Nearly 100 volunteer physicians, dentists, pharmacists, nurses and administrative volunteers make it possible for the clinic to stretch its donated dollars.

For every $1 raised, $4 in health care services are delivered to patients from the area.

The Fauquier Free Clinic is open on Thursday evenings in the Fauquier Coupty Public Health Department, with registration on a walk-in basis only beginning at 5:30 p.m.

The clinic also provides dental assistance on the first and third Thursdays of each month.

Anyone with no health insurance (including Medicaid and Medicare) can be seen at the Fauquier Free Clinic if they meet income eligibility guidelines.

Any child is eligible to be seen at the clinic no matter what the income of their parents.

Entry fee for the Rappahannock RoughRide is $18 before Sept. 10, and $20 thereafter.

Participants may register on the morning of the ride before 9:30 a.m.
