would be able to use prepaid reply envelopes obtained from participating companies to pay bills, place orders, and conduct other business at a reduced postage rate of 30 cents.
With this new prepaid reply mail rate, the impact on the average household from the new rates will be less than 20 cents more per month.
“A penny doesn’t buy much anymore. But it’s just enough for us to maintain universal service, cover increased costs over the next two years, and keep improving mail service we provide to the nation,” Postmaster Lawler said.
