A UNIVERSE UNTO

HIMSELF

If we seem to value life any less these days, this regrettable state of affairs can be easily remedied by taking notice of what a miracle human life is. Aretwe not at once mere specks in our vast population as well as universes unto ourselves? Any true appreciation of ourselves and those around us begins with the knowledge of our place in the world and the reality beyond. Consider the words of Jacques Maritain: ‘To say that a man is a person is to say that in the depth of his being he is more a whole than a part and more independent than servile. It is to say that he is a minute fragment of matter that is at the same time a universe, a beggar who participates in the absolute being, mortal flesh whose value is eternal and a bit of straw into which heaven enters.”

Being thankful for whatever miracles we find in our life, large or small, can enlarge our daily experience and bring us much happiness. While it sounds cliche, it is nonetheless true that life’s meaning is often found most completely in small moments completely felt and known. At the MOSER FUNERAL HOME, 233 Broadview Avenue, Warrenton, you’ll meet a staff which is thoughtful of your feelings and willing to help in any way possible. Call 347-3431 for answers to your questions.
