Beginning Sept. 14 at 9:30 a.m., Amissville Baptist Church will again start Sunday School with an Opening Assembly in the Sanctuary. Everyone is invited to participate.

Rappahannock County’s School Board has decided to delay the opening of school by one week to allow repairs at the high school to continue. Enjoy your extra week of vacation!

Culpeper County’s newest school, Emerald Hill, will not open at the beginning of the 1997-98 school year. Division Superintendent Larry Brooks sent a letter relating this decision to the parents of students who are scheduled to attend Emerald Hill. The move to the new school is now planned for October and students will begin the year at Floyd T. Binns. I toured the school in July and am very excited for our students and staff to be housed in the new facility!

Hope to see your news in the box at Hackley’s Store by noon on Sunday! Keep cool.
