During the budget periods FY 88-89 through FY 95-96, the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors appropriated $165,000, or, $25,000 in FY 88-89 and $20,000 each year thereafter, in revenue to finance operational expenses at “The Bam.”
Last year, the Board of Supervisors approved the conveyance of 50 acres of prime countyowned property valued at $553,200 to the Commonwealth of Virginia for use as the site for the expanded local campus of Lord Fairfax Community College.
Finally, the Fauquier County Office of Management and Budget, as well as the County Board of Supervisors has expressed a willingness to spend another $2,335,440 for the site development aspect of constructing the new campus.
