The Town of Washington’s Architectural Review Board met last week to consider two requests.

The first was a request by Charles Tompkins for permission to add a hip roof to the office building he owns and is remodeling on Main Street.

Mr. Tompkins has thus far taken the brick off the front of the building and plans to cover it with cedar siding. The siding will be natural in color.

This sparked a limited discussion by the board as to its propriety.
