A group of about fifty people who were interested in water and sewage disposal needs of Rappahannock County, met Monday evening at Sperryville Elementary School to hear Soil Conservation Service representatives and consulting engineers speak on the subject. An increasing number of men and women and children in Rappahannock County are reaping the benefits of money that was deducted from payrolls during the past 30 years and set aside to provide for their future needs. Growers participating in the 1967 feed grain program will begin getting final program payments soon after August 21, H.S. Barksdale, Chairman, Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation County Committee, said today. Mrs. Katherine B. Oettinger, Chief of the Children’s Bureau of the Department of Health, Education and Welfare, has been appointed the nation’s chief for family planning services.
