The bride is the daughter of Kenneth and Elaine Hix of Washington, Va.
The groom is the son of Thomas and Ruth Haden of Inwood, West Virginia.
The Rev. Jack T. Sutor, Jr. performed the double-ring ceremony in a setting candelabras with bows and greenery, pew torches, and ivory bows. The Rev. Phillip Bailey of Washington Baptist Church read the scriptures from I Corinthians and Mark.
Steve Snyder played selections on the organ.
Tanya Cole of Trinity Episcopal Church was the wedding coordinator.
The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her father. She wore an ivory gown of Allegro satin with Alencon beaded lace. The fitted bodice was adorned with Alencon lace and baby pearl overlay. The gown had a scalloped V-neckline with short cap sleeves and a full circular skirt with boxed pleats. The train was chapel length and accented with Alencon lace and baby pearl overlay on the bow and streamers. Her bouquet was live flowers in burgundy, white, and pink day lilies and carnations with ivory roses, babies breath and ivory ribbon.
The groom and best man, Todd Vanderwijst, wore black tuxedos.
