Woodville Festival

planned for Oct. 7

The Woodville community will hold its eighth annual "Woodville Festival" on Saturday, Oct. 7 and all are welcome to attend. This event is free. It is staged on H.B. and Betty Wood's Blue Ridge Mountain Overlook and features professional live Bluegrass music and lots of fun for the whole family. In special celebration of the year 2000, a 160 pound hog will be roasted!

There will be tents, volleyball, horseshoes and croquet. The fun and games start at 2 p.m., the band will begin at 3:30 and the meal will be served around 5. If its not too windy, we'll torch a bon fire and continue after dark.

Please bring a side dish or a soft drink and plenty of friends for this great American party Woodville style. Directions from downtown Woodville: Take Red Oak Mountain Road (618 East) up the hill and follow the signs.

For more information, please call the Woods at 987-3301 or the Lights at 987-9523. Don't miss it! Please mark your calendar today!
