Official Voting Information

The Constitution of Virginia requires that you be registered in the precinct in which you live in order to be qualified to vote.

In order to be eligible to vote in the General Election, to be held on Tuesday, November 7, 20(H). you must register no later than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 10, 2000.

For the convenience of eligible citizens, the Voter Registration Office of Rappahannock County located at 262A Gay Street will be open for registration Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.—4:00 p.m.

The office at 262A Gay Street will also be open on Saturday, October 28, 2000 and on Saturday, November 4, 2000 from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. for the convenience of registered voters who need to vote by absentee ballot for this election date.

Saturday, November 4, 20(H), is the last day for this election on which absentee ballots may be voted in person by qualified applicants.

All requests for reasonable accommodations due to a disability should be made to the registrar with at least a 48-hour notice.

You are encouraged to make application for voter registration. Please call us at the number shown below should you have any questions. Remember, a good citizen registers and votes.
