Edna Mumaw
Resident of Edinburg ' Edna Marie Tusing Mumaw, 68, of Edinburg died on Friday, Sept. 22 at the Winchester Medical Center.
Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, Sept. 26 at Christ United Church of Christ in Conicville by the Rev. Robert A. Lewis. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Mumaw was born June 12, 1932 in Macanie, daughter of the late Melvin and Alma Biller Tusing.
She retired this year after 18 years as a cook and a waitress for Ridge Valley Grocery in Columbia Furnace.
She was a member of Christ United Church of Christ at Conicville, Eastern Star of Fayetteville, N.C. and a former member of Morning Star Lutheran Church near Mt. Jackson.
Mrs. Mumaw is survived by her husband of 47 years, Earl Hope Mumaw, whom she married on April 15, 1953.
Other survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Teddy and Jody Mumaw of Edinburg; a daughter and sonin-law, Brenda and Michael Weeks of Chesapeake; two sisters, Ester Settle of Flint Hill and Audrey Andrick of Edinburg; five brothers,
