Inspector Senior) Performs all types of inspection work on both complex & routine highway projects. Must have considerable knowledge of hwy & bridge construction methods, practices, procedures, specifications & safety/ EEO/ DBE guidelines & regulations. Able to read & interpret plans & specifications: use & instruct others in the operation of survey instruments & engineering field equipment; supervise the work of others; interface with diverse groups & communicate effectively. Must possess experience working with computers in a windows environment. May be required to work during emergency situations. Hiring range: $28,292 - $48,588.

TRANSPORTATION OPERATOR ll#01388

(Bridge Team Member) Performs heavy manual labor in the construction, repair & maintenance of bridges & other highway structures. This position has been designated as “essential” during emergency operations. Must possess experience in equipment operation & heavy manual labor. Be skilled in carpentry & using hand/power tools including jackhammers. Knowledge of bridge maintenance & construction techniques & concrete finishing will be considered a plus. Hiring range: $16,577-$34,021.

Operate & maintain highway construction & maintenance equipment & tools to construct, repair & maintain roads & surrounding right of way. equipment used includes 2-3 ton dump trucks, mowers, loaders, rollers, & hand tools. These positions have been designated as “essential” during emergency operations. Must have demonstrated ability to operate & maintain highway equipment; use hand tools; & perform heavy manual labor. NOTE: Additional positions in the Fauquier and Rappahannock counties may be filled from the applicant pool for 90 days after the closing date. Hiring Range: $16,577$34,024. ‘
