Rutherford reunion slated
The family of the late William "Jube" and Ella Frazier Rutherford will hold their annual reunion on Oct. 7 beginning at 11 a.m. at the Rappahannock Park pavilion located on US 211 at Washington. All family and friends are invited to bring a covered dish and attend.
Fall festival planned for Amissville
A fall festival is planned for the Amissville village and will be sponsored by Amissville Area Community Association, Lazy S Llama Ranch and the Amissville Volunteer Fire Department. The all day affair will be held Oct. 14 from 10 a m. to 5 p.m. The event, will be a celebration of rural life in and around Amissville.
Eleven different locations will be featured with events planned ; at all venues. Live music, crafts, food, children's activities, animal demos, 4-H displays, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Rappahannock Lions Club, Amissville Ruritans plus a lot more will be featured. Cancer Society to sponsor program
All Rappahannock citizens are encouraged to attend a pro- \ gram sponsored by the American Cancer Society Board of Rappahannock County. The program, Prostate Cancer ‘ Concerns and Updates will feature speaker, Dr. David K/l. Pfeffer.

Playgroup to resume
Country Kids Playgroup will resume on Monday, Oct. 2 at the ; Jeffersonton Community Center. New families are welcome to join. The playgroup is a non-profit group for parents/caregivers and children ages infant to five. It meets every Monday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon from October through April. Toys ! are provided. Crafts and activities are planned. Optional field ' trips are also planned. Minimum dues are collected to defray cost of rent. Call Barbara Verhaalen at 349-3185 for information.

Crafters sought for festival
The Sperryville Fire Department Auxiliary is looking for craft vendors for their fall festival on Oct. 14. Pickin' party scheduled
There will be a 4-H pickin' party at Hackley's Country Store in Amissville on Saturday, Oct. 14 from 2-4 p.m. Bring your instrument, singing voice and lawn chair for an afternoon of down ; home fun. Rappahannock 4-H will be selling raffle tickets for a 50/50 raffle and scarecrows and milk jug skeletons to welcome the fall season.
