Aerobic classes underway

On-going aerobic classes are held at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 8:15 to 9:30. A total body workout which includes 30 minutes of low-impact aerobics, floor work, weights and yoga stretches. For information call Beth Levick at 635-6149.

Li Hard reunion slated

The relatives/descendants of John Henry Lillard are invited are invited to attend a reunion at the Flint Hill fire hall on Sunday, Oct. 1 at 12:30 p.m. Please bring a covered dish.

RAWL to hold fund raiser

The Rappahannock Animal Welfare League (RAWL) is holding its 2000 fundraising event on Saturday, Oct. 14. The event will be a dinner with dancing and a silent auction. This will be RAWL's major fund-raising effort for this year. Tickets to the dinner, dance and silent auction will be $75 per person, all of which is tax-deductible. For information call 636-3308.

Garden Club to present shore

On Saturday, Sept. 30 from 2 to 6 p.m., the Madison Garden Club will present a flower show entitled, "An Autumn Day in Historic Rochelle". Arrangements will be showcased at the Ridgeview Bed and Breakfast, owned by Frank and Eleanor D'Amico and at Dark Horse Farm, owned by John and Jean Freeman.

Also at the Mt. Nebo Lutheran Church Parish Hall there will be the horticulture specimens plus the special exhibits which will be the History of Rochelle, Native Plants Used by Native Americans and Gathering and Drying flowers. Refreshments will be served and a green offering available.

Bike-a-thon scheduled

Reynolds Memorial Church will be holding a bike-a-thon to raise money for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital on Saturday, Sept. 30. Call Karen Ellis at 987-7212.

Trail ride and picnic planned

A family trail ride and picnic will be held Sept. 30 at Lizzard Run Farm in Flint Hill to benefit the Front Royal Oratorio Society. There will be two rides to choose from. The picnic will be held following the trail ride. Reservations required for meal count, picnic price is $15. For either ride, $30 per rider which includes picnic.
