programs in our public schools thanks to the generous support of donors in our community. If you were a part of this wonderful evening, our RCPS students and staff wish to thank you.

• If you happened to notice the beautiful sunflower and goldenrod arrangements gracing the foyers of RCES and RCHS last week, they were created by Mrs. Linda Dietel, member of the Headwaters Board of Directors. Our students and staff enjoyed them tremendously. Many thanks!

• If you have a child in Band at RCHS or RCES, please "note" the following upcoming events:

Oct. 6 Spotsylvania Marching Band Invitational

Oct. 14 A Busy Day! Parade, Front Royal (Practice Thursdays, 3:30-6) Plus, Amissville's Fall Festival.

If you have questions about any of these events, please call Mrs. Lynne Fournier, Band Director, at 987-8259, Booster President Mrs. Ginger Estes at 675-3464 or Vice-President John Wiese at 937-9909.

• Have a wonderful week and try to think of some way that you might help the children in our public schools through volunteerism. By volunteering just one hour per week, you could touch the life of a child in a very special way!

Please call Jan Makela, Volunteer Coordinator, at 9878259 to sign up.
