The Rappahannock County Sheriffs Office reported one arrest for driving while intoxicated last week. According to Sheriff Larry Sherertz, Richard Norman Brown, 45, of Huntly was stopped at 12:01 a.m. on Sept. 22 on U. S. -211 near Sperryville by Dep. Anthony Berry.
Brown would not cooperate with the deputy, and refused to submit to a Breath-o-lizer test. This resulted in an automatic suspension of his driver's license, in addition to the DWI charge.

Just two days after commencing the crackdown on drivers for speeding in Rappahannock County’s two school zones on U. S. 211 west of Washington, Sheriff Sherertz reports that compliance had been extraordinary, and no arrests made, as of Tuesday morning.
