It has been more than two decades since Cheri and Martin Woodard, both individually and as a couple, began the process of imprinting their matchless style on the people and landscape of Rappahannock County. Perhaps no two people have had more influence in guiding the economic vector of the modern Rappahannock—perhaps no two people have been more deserving of the success of their Rappahannock endeavors.
Martin came to the County from Herndon, Virginia in 1972—fresh out of college, and anxious to apply his physical as well as his mental acuity to the benefit of this rural community. His first venture was Martin Woodard Masonry, and the company worked with local builders and artisans to create private residences, home additions, and major structures including Culpeper’s Catholic Church.
Cheri moved here from Maryland a in 1975, and worked for Mrs. Williamson at Oak Forest in Woodville as an herbal apprentice until Mrs. Williamson’s retirement n four voarc 1 otnr
