Boil 1 gallon water and pour over sugar and dandelions.
When the water is luke warm, dissolve one cake yeast or one tablespoon yeast
1 lemon sliced
2 oranges sliced, add this to the dandelions and sugar
Cover and let stand one week, strain and bottle. Refrigerate and do not keep too long as it will go flat.

Dandelion Salad
Dandelion leaves to make a “mess” washed and drained
Fried fat back or bacon crisp, cut into small pieces
Just before the salad is served pour the warm pork dripping and pieces of meat over the leaves. You can also use a dressing of vinegar and sugar.
Mrs. Emily Jenkins and Mrs. Cathy Pullen were hostess for a housewarming for Mr. and Mrs. James Jenkins on Saturday afternoon. There were about 50 people in attendance and they received many useful gifts. Congratulations James and Crystal on your new home.
