Days pass so swiftly as it is time again for the “Singing and Pickin’’ party which will be held at Salem Fire Hall, Route 522 this Friday, April 27, from 6 until 10 p.m. Anyone who wishes to participate needs to sign in. Our community extends hearty congratulations to Miss Amanda Sims, a senior at Rappahannock High School, the only one to make the all-A honor roll for the fourth advisory grading period. She is the daughter of Randy and Sharon Sims and granddaughter of Lloyd and Betty Sims and the late Joe and Hazel Hawkins.
Others in the area making the honor roll for this period, and students at Rappahannock High School include, Lauren Thornhill, Garner Smythe, Brittany Thornhill, Robin Oyster, David and John Letsen, Rachel Gall, and Kendra Hitt. Great going students and keep up the good work.

Belated birthday wishes go out to a well known figure to many of us, Dr. Grahame Henson, who was honored with a surprise party last Saturday at Hazel River Inn in celebration of his 80th birthday. Dr. Henson, a retired surgeon, came here from Wales and practiced at Culpeper Hospital in the early 1960’s. We’re sure that many in our area and family members have been taken care of by his skilled hands under the leadership of the Lord and we wish for him
