The name a parent decides to give his child can say a lot about the parent and sometimes something about family lineage.
But what if a computer named your little baby? Baby horse, that is.
All thoroughbred racehorses have to register with The Jockey Club to race in the United States. The name of a thoroughbred can be no longer than 18 letters (including the spaces).
Sometimes the names are a combination of the sire (father of foal) and the dam (mother of foal). An example of this is the sonamed Wynkeeper: his father was Wynslew and mother was Peace Keeper.

Still others are named in the form of a long run-on that would make an English teacher cringe. To wit: Dancingontestimony, Haveplanwilltravel or Soaringoverseattle.
