Kids’ trout
fishing day set
for April 28
The Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries, Warren County and the Northern Shenandoah Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited, are co-sponsoring the fourth annual Kids’ Trout Fishing Day on Saturday, April 28. This event will take place from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Happy Creek in Warren County Municipal Park near Bing Crosby Stadium.
Children, ages two to 15 are invited to participate and must be accompanied by a parent or adult. Prizes will be awarded in various categories, thanks to donors, but each child must be signed in at the registration table to be eligible to win these prizes. Children should bring their own rods and lures. For more information call 631-9476.
Super Pantry
program set
A free Super Pantry program sponsored through a partnership between Rappahannock Cooperative Extension and Blue Ridge Food Bank will be held at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, Route 522, Scrabble beginning May 2. The six week program will be held on Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
