Jon’s latest and most successful run at the Iditarod Race brought him home in fifteenth place out of 68 entrants, and he accomplished that feat in 11 days, 23 hours, 46 minutes and 15 seconds.
Imagine. Nearly two weeks traveling by sled over inhospitable terrain and in conditions that we in
Rappahannock can hardly even contemplate. This was Jon’s third Iditarod race, and he has improved significantly from his 36th place as a rookie in 1999, and 23rd place in his second run last year.
