Mary Martin

Mary Mattie Martin, 75, of Culpeper died Tuesday, April 17 at the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville.

She was born Oct. 10, 1925 in Rappahannock County to the late Amon Wharton and Edith Dodson Wharton.

Mrs. Martin was a member of the Culpeper Church of God.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Lyle Kelly Martin; her daughter, Mary Elizabeth Martin and a son, Lyle Milton Martin Jr., all of Culpeper.

Additional survivors include a sister, Rodie Wilson of Orange and a brother, Kinsey Brown Wharton of Rappahannock.

In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by a son, Lyle Milton Martin Sr. and a sister, Corine Menefee.

Funeral services were conducted on Friday, April 20 at Found & Sons Chapel with Rev. John S. Farrar officiating.

Interment followed at Fairview Cemetery.

Charlotte MacDonald Hanback, 60, of Catlett died on April 16 at Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton.

She was born on Dec. 12, 1940 in Fairfax.

She was owner of A-l Fire Protection and was active with the Women of the Moose.
