The Planning Commission had also received applications from two families in the county making requests to build garages with family apartments above the units.
Alvin and Lori Dore of Amissville made request to build a three-car garage with a 1200 square foot family apartment on top at their Hinsons Ford Road residence.
However, with no representation present at the meeting for the Dore’s, their request was tabled until the May 18 meeting.
The Planning Commission also received another request from an Amissville family, Paul and Melbry Paratore, also requesting to build a garage with a family apartment on top at their Cabin Lane residence. The living space would be 780 sauare feet.
