Scholastic Book Fair
Rappahannock County Elementary School will host the Scholastic Book Fair April 28-May 3. The theme of this year’s fair is “Read a Great Tale." The hours for the book fair on Thursday April 28 are 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. which includes the Family Night Event that evening. The hours for April 29, May 2, and May 3 are 8:15 a.m. to 4 p.m. Books are available for all ages, including adults. Public is welcome to attend!
Lions Club Annual Auction
Rappahannock Lions Club President, Ken Marlor, announced that the annual auction will be held on April 30 at Bill Payne’s Auction Gallery in Amissville. The club is now soliciting donations of furniture, collectibles and other resalable merchandise for auction. All proceeds are used for the benefit of the Rappahannock community. Rabies Vaccination
Rabies Vaccination Clinic will be held on Saturday, April 30 at the Rappahannock Animal Welfare League (RAWL), Route 639 off of Route 211 in Amissville by the landfill from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost will be $10 per pet. Friday night at the flicks
The Rappahannock Association for the Arts and Community (RAAC) presents the film, “The Story of the Weeping Camel,” on May 6 at 8 p.m, at The Theatre in Little Washington, on Gay Street. Cost for adults $6, students $4 and children $3.
Breadfast benefit
A breakfast to benefit the American Cancer Society’s will be held on Saturday, May 7 from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Flint Hill Fire Hall. Settle’s Grocery Team, for Reley of Life will be preparing the breakfast. The cost will be $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12. Come and enjoy the country breakfast and to help this team raise money to fight Cdi er.
Pickin ’ at F! kley s Store
Pickin’ at Hackley’s Store in Amissville is going to be on Saturday, May 7 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. (Weather permitting) The 50/50 Raffle is going to benefit the Rappahannock Relay for Life.
Amissville benefit auction
The Amissville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company has scheduled an auction for May 14 at 6 p.m. at the fire station. All items donated must be clean and in a saleable condition. All appliances must be in a working condition. No clothing or bedding will be accepted. For pickup call Bobbie at 937-4108 or the fire station at 937-5125.
Buffet Breakfast
There will be a buffet breakfast on May 14 at the Flint Hill Fire Hall from 8:45 a.m. to 10:15a.m. Great variety of delicious breakfast foods! Good will offering appreciated. Proceeds benefit Rappahannock Senior Center.
