Since September of 2004, John and Diane MacPherson have been the new owners of the Foster Harris House, a local Bed and Breakfast located in the Tbwn of Washington. While there are a number of Bed and Breakfasts in the area, this one is planning to offer something new.

The MacPhersons have just finished putting together their Tour dTSpicure, a five- day, fournight. all inclusive cycling adventure that combines the MacPhersons’ love of wine, good food, and bike riding in Rappahannock County.

The Tour dTSpicure promises to be a delight as guests will stay at the Foster Harris House and have three full days to tour the area by bike, stopping along the way at local wineries, enjoying catered lunches, and ending the trip with dinner at the Inn at Little Washington. Foster Harris House owner John MacPherson said he is excited about working together with other businesses in the area to bring this all together.

What makes this cycling adventure different from others is that guests will spend every night at the Foster Harris House. Diane MacPherson explained that on so many other cycling tours guests are made to pack their things up eveiy day and sleep at a different location each night.

Staying at the Foster Harris House will allow guests the comfort of knowing they can unpack and plan to stay a while. Another benefit to this trip is that the B&B will be entirely dedicated to this tour. With slots for only five couples, the MacPhersons plan to reserve the B&B’s five rooms for Tbur d’Epicure guests only. This way participants will become familiar with one another and be able to talk about the days’ events as they sit on the B&B’s porch and enjoy a glass of wine.
