The 1944 graduating class of Sperryville High School held their reunion after 21 years at Panorama on Saturday evening April 24. Twenty-nine classmates, teachers, and guests were present. Among those at the dinner were Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Winfrey, Mrs. Mary Botts Quaintance, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Weaver, Mr. and Mrs. Carson Johnson, all of Sperryville.
The Flint Hill Post Office has been moved to the building formerly occupied by the bank. The interior of the building has been redecorated and boxes were installed Tuesday.
A rescue squad is being organized in connection with the Amissville Volunteer Fire Company and Paul Poling has been elected captain of the group. A standard first aid class has already been conducted with 20 members completing the. course. Plans are being made to hold advanced first aid classes within the next two weeks. A 1957 Ford ambulance has been purchased from The Plains and is ready for use.
Cheerleaders from all over Virginia met in Charlottesville at the Albemarle High School on Saturday, April 24 for a cheerleaders rally. The group was given pointers in cheer leading, what to do and what not to do, and exchanged ideas in cheer
