Council member Alice Butler asked why the sewage area did not come out to where her home is located and if there were re-zoning, with the outer edges of the town being rural preservation, how could her property be divided.
“Have these proposals been run past the town attorney or legal council,” asked Robert Weinberg of Sperryville.
Herd replied that while he is not an attorney and did not want to come across as being a legal authority, planners typically consult attorneys regarding issues of re-zoning.
“Re-zoning has to be done comprehensively and the people who live in a town should have an expectation for re-zoning possibilities,” he said.
