Subdivision Chapter of Rappahannock County’s Comprehensive Plan. Thus, the commission appointed two commissioners, Henry and Thomas Junk of Piedmont District as well as Dick McNear of Washington and McCarthy to be oh the committee to construct the changes.
Ron Frazier, Rappahannock County Board of Supervisor’s representative on the Planning Commission asked if this was to be a new document or an amendment.
McCarthy said it was uncertain at this time, but whichever it was, the public would be made known of the changes made. He also suggested that the county could consider hiring an attorney who regularly and successfully challenges ordinances to assist the committee when making the changes.
Building permits
The county has approved permits for seven new homes to be constructed within the past month for a total construction cost of $1,330,000.
In home remodeling, renovations or additions, the county has approved seven permits totaling $175,000 as well as given approval for eight garages or accessory buildings for a total cost of $104,200.
New home construction is up this year in Rappahannock County with 12 being approved, thusfar in comparison to a total of 10 new home constructions in 2004 for the same time period.
