of technical assistance and support. Currently, a directory of local non profits is being assembled which will not only list the many varied and positive offerings our local non profit community provides, but will also afford citizens a guide where they can research volunteer opportunities.

A “Non Profit” resource center has been established at the library and contains information, periodicals, and research guides beneficial to non profits, particularly in the area of researching funding sources.

The decision has been made to move forward and hire a half-time Executive Director. This staff person will help with the design of future workshops, provide technical assistance to local groups and guide the Center as it grows and expands during the upcoming years. The hope is to have that person hired and on board by June 1, 2005.

For more information about the Center or the position of Executive Director, please contact Martin Woodard at 540987-8546.
