County Civil War Roundtable meeting
The Fauquier County Civil War Roundtable will hold their monthly dinner meeting on Wednesday, August 10, at the Fauquier Springs Country Club. Mr. Jack Price will speak on “The Role of Native Americans during the Civil War.” Jack lives in Rappahannock and is the past president of the Blue Ridge Civil War Roundtable. Speryville Volunteer Fire & Rescue will hold their annual parade and carnival starting on Wednesday, August 10 through Saturday, August 13. Lots of games, rides and food for all ages.

Thursday, August 11: The grand parade starting at 7 p.m., carnival rides and games.
Friday, August 12: Bluegras music by Brian Taylor and Anthony Clinedinst, also chicken dinners by the Sperryvillle Fire Depatment Auxiliary.
Saturday, August 13: Crowning of the Queen and Little Mister Fire Chief, also the grand prize drawing $1000. Come out and support the Fire Department.
