Autumn in Rappahannock County is filled w ith the colors and creations ot nature, lliis tall those colors and creations w ill also he reflected in the works ot many of Rappahannock's most talented artists. The Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the C ommunity (RAAC ) will present the first, in'what is hoped to ho an annual two-dav art festival, "Artists of Rappahannock County" Studio & Gallery lour, November S and 6, 10 am to 5 rain or shine. No admission is required, A suggested $10 donation goes to RAAC. Ibe goal tor the festival is to draw crowds of art lovers trom throughout V irginia, the Greater Washington area, and from elsewhere in the Mid-Atlantic. "Rappahannock C ounty is privileged to have some of the finest artists on the Atlantic Coast, said C laudia Mitchell, president ot RAAC By initiating this first festival, RAAC will begin to brand Rappahannock as an arts destination.''
Artists participating in the juried festival will display their artwork either in their ow n studios or in a gallery setting at one of the many professional galleries in Washington, Sperryy ille and Flint I toll.
