Edward Franklin Clatterbuck, 82, of Arlington formerly of Rappahannock County, died Sunday July 24 at the Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington Va.
He was bom July 14, 1923 in Jameson, Missouri to the late Stonewall Jackson and Martha Smedley Clatterbuck.
Mr. Clatterbuck attended Thornton’s Gap Regular Baptist Church while living in Rappahannock; he was a life member of the V.F.W. Post #1150 in Sperryville, a member of Arlington Centennial Glebe Lodge #81, AF&AM in Arlington and a member of Ashton Heights Civic Association. He enjoyed his Bluegrass music, hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Elizabeth Johnson Clatterbuck, and their daughter, Jane Elizabeth Hoffer and her husband Robert, of Chantilly, three grandchildren, and two great grandchildren, also numerous nieces nephews and other extended family and beloved friends.
In audition to his parents he is preceded in death by his two sisters and one brother.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday July 27 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper, with Rev. . Kirby Shenk and Rev. John Burke officiating. Interment followed at the Washington Masonic Cemetery in Washington Va.
