The Rappahannock Association for Arts and the Community presents a twice-monthly film series on Friday nights. Community events are held at The Theatre from time to time as well. When The Theatre is not otherwise in use, it is available tor rent to individuals, groups, and companies wishing to present performances for themselves. Chateauville Foundation lhe Chateauville Foundation was established bv Lorin and Dietlinde Maazel in 1997 w ith a succinct, if ambitious, mission: "to nurture children, foster art and reclaim the human spint." Based at Castleton Farms in .Rappahannock County, Virginia, the focal point of the Foundation's activities is a private, state-of-the-art Theatre House built on the property in realization of a long-held dream. Its multi-purpose facilities make the theatre ideally suited to a wide range of performances-recita 1 and chamber music programs, dance and theatrical events, and chamber opera. To date, nearly 40 different performances, encompassing a broad range of artistic disciplines, have been offered at the Theatie House. Several of these have been gala events to raise funds for programs in support of children's causes, especially those* connected with music.
