• Best wishes are extended to Paul Farmer, President of the Rappahannock Environmental League, who outlived his vanagon. While the 1991 VW van is no longer viable, Paul is still vertical and still has a passion for the sounds of old time radio. While mourning his loss, Paul is happy the vehicle went out with flare albeit flames which mercifully spared him.
• For those of you Harry Potter fans that didn’t make the trek into Northern Virginia, R.H. Ballard is cartying J.K. Rowling’s latest “Harry Potter and the HalfBlood Prince.”
