Less than one week into the season, the Rappahannock County High School varsity boys basketball team has already achieved something that eluded them during all 21 games last year: a win.
The Panthers (1-2) picked up the victory in convincing fashion, drubbing Meyersdale High School, 68-30, on Saturday at the Bob Lamp Memorial Tip-Off 'Ibumament in Rockwood, Pa. Rappahannock lost the first game of the tournament on Friday, 56-49, to eventual tourney champion Rockwood High School.
Rappahannock guards Irving Smith and Bobby Czekaj were named to the all-tournament team for the four-school competition.
