PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE
FLOODPLAIN ORDINANCE OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF WASHINGTON On Wednesday, December 13, 2006, at 7:30PM, the Town of Washington Council and Planning Commission shall hold a Joint Public Hearing at the Town Hall in Washington, VA, to consider amendments to the Zoning Ordinance of the Town of Washington. The amendments consist of redrafted Floodplain District regulations in order to comply with Federal Emergency Management Agency standards for qualifying for the National Flood Insurance Program.
The complete text of the proposed amendments is available for public inspection from 8:30AM-4:30PM Monday-Friday at the County Administration & Zoning Office, 290 Gay Street, Washington, Virginia.
