The lights will stay up until just after Christmas but will be history by January 1st. Meanwhile, lots of Amissville neighbors are driving by slowly on U. S. 211 to see the house — behind Early’s Carpets. Solon mentions that every year they see some people pull into the driveway to get a better look and absorb everything. They appreciate the fact that their Christmas gift to the community is admired. Those who stop have been good about respecting the Betts’ privacy and just admiring the lights and moving on. Sonja admits she gets pretty excited to see people pull in and look. All the hard work by the Betts family and even some friends is definitely appreciated!
I don’t know how many shopping day are left until Christmas, but I know you've got less than a month left to go take a look at perhaps the biggest Christmas light display in Amissville!
